[GLUG-chat] Re: OpenSource -- Accounting Software

You Know... someone really wanted to know of a good open source, Linux based

Perhaps, but more so *glug-tech* list

Now, if you don't know anything about accounting software, or don't care for any, why don't you rather keep your nose out of this - that is why so few people stick to open source... because their questions don't get answered properly - this has turned into a stupid argument between Linux and Microsoft. Please forgive my point of view if it is screwed, but if you want to have "arb" Friday afternoon chats, keep that in a different forum,

Err excuse me Jacques, glug-chat is precisely for this. Glug-tech exists for the more serious stuff. This has been repeated over and over a thousand times on this -chat list. -chat implies you are gonna get a lot of chat traffic answers. The -tech list is much lower traffic, more to the point and serious. You should really consider joining it if you don't want to partake in the -chat list or the traffic is getting to you.

and try keep this one for real answers - if I have missed the plot, perhaps

Yup you completely missed it.

I should rather look somewhere else to get answers of my own, instead of
reading through hundreds of lines of stupid replies and crappy answers.

Yup Glug-tech is exactly what you need. Don't look for answers on a chatting list and then complain about the traffic - you could tell this a chat list from the list email address.

Lastly you really may want to consider following linux mailing list rules - ie bottom post, they say its a mission in Microsoft, but if you snip where necessary its not that hard. Especially if you are gonna join the -tech list for the more serious people and very little to no chat.

eish!

Steve
