[GLUG-chat] OT best home color laser printer?

Whats the best bang for buck color laser printer for home use, A4 size 
only. Low pages printed. something that will last and the toner wont 
break the bank. Will print black text pages of general stuff and then 
photo's now and again, sub 500 pages a month. There is a gazillion 
models on the market, and a gazillion on linuxprinting.org, at work the 
dumb asses went and bought a HP3550 which is not bad, but an original 
set of cartridges will set you back R3200, the frikken whole thing 
printer and cartridges only came to under R4k, completely not what I am 
looking for.

Rather something like the old HP 5L series just in color. Doesn't even 
need to be fast. I will only do printing, don't want a multifunction at all.

*! It may be best to keep replies off list, don't want another flame war 
starting about which printer can play ogg over mp3 whilst you wait kinda 
saga ...*

Gotta work fully functional on linux, I like Epson myself, not too fond 
of HP - but anything goes at the end of the day.

Just locally available successful model names will be cool, *remember 
home use* I will Google them further then.
