Ogg doesn't suck, lack of ogg support in devices sucks.  Ogg is way
better than MP3 and I always rip to it.  Fortunately my DVD player is
a Linux media PC, so it plays music in whatever format I have.  The
only scenario I can concieve of needing to have my music in mp3 format
is for when I finally get a new radio for my car which supports MP3s. 
Then I will rip to mp3 specifically for the car.  It won't use
additional storage because I will write them to CDs for the car and
delete them off my hard drive.  I would like to build a media PC for
my car, which would obviate the need for MP3 and allow me to play my
precious ogg files, but at this time it seems like overkill and much
more hassle then it's worth.
