This was mentioned on -tech earlier. HP has a solution called "441", which allows four people to share a single machine. I said: ``Well, it's actually really easy to do this. You need four video cards (1x AGP and 3x PCI in the 441 case), 4 sets of mice and keyboard (one set of PS/2 keyboard and mouse and three sets of USB keyboards and mice in the 441 case), and 4 sound cards (this is the part that's not as easy to do - anyone got any advances on this?). Then, you set up XFree86 with the correct combination of graphics adaptor and input devices, which will display on each screen. You get artsd (the KDE sound system) or esd (the GNOME one) to send to the appropriate sound card for the given terminal, and you're done. '' The sound cards are actually easy too, since you get USB sound cards.
