[GLUG-chat] Re: Using MySQL/PostgreSQL to store mail

Damn - I wanted to send the message below to the list and pressed the
wrong key. Anyway on the postfix website you will find a lot of info about
using mysql for your maps, maybe in of the links you will find something
about using mysql as message store as well.

Regards
Arnold

PS I upgraded two servers to postfix 2.1 in the last week, check out the
access policy delegation at http://www.postfix.org/SMTPD_POLICY_README.html
if you have a huge spam problem. It really works for me.

You can set whatever program you like to do delivery with postfix. I
recommend upgrading to 2.1 (but it is not essential)

man 5 postconf will give you all the configuration parameters. With
mailbox_command you can specify any command to deliver your mail.
I don't know if there are any delivery agents that deliver to a relational
database. Remember you need to provide a way for your MUAs to read the
mail as well.

Arnold
