Pastel don't intend to work on anything, at least that's what the
technical guy at the Computer Faire stand had to say. However one of the
reps from independant Pastel resellers said they'd managed to get a SQL
backend running on a solaris machine, so my guess is that it's just a
matter of which SQL server ... where win32 clients would be accessing
this in a large networked environment.

The current SQL server being used is Persuasive SQL or something ...

Actually taking Pastel data and importing it into a GPL'd pastel clone
was an idea I wanted to work on with some developers some time ago, but
nothing came of it. Perhaps someone else can do it ...?
