| SSH & Windows |
Greetings all. I need some help to understand and setup ssh links to a linux box from Windows95. I have the ssh running on the linux box & i have tested the link to it from other linux boxes and the link is encrypted (checked with a sniffer). However, I now need to get a ssh from a windows PC to the linux PC. I have Putty and ttssh - but the ssh connections don't work. I can only assume that there is a private or public key needed on the windows PC - but I don't know how to create it (ssh on linux did this with a single command). The ultimate goal of the secure connection from the Windows PC's is to run X-based software through the network. The login name & passwd that I have been using to test is the same for the linux boxes & windows box. Thanks -- Quack Moo -DLR (dale)
