LDAP enabled FTP - ?

Hi all,

I am busy trying to put together a server environment for an ISP and I
need some help with ftp.

We have a mass virtual hosting environment, where a whole lot of
directories (one for each user) are provided for webhosting using
Apache. This is the easy part, the hard part is giving these people ftp
access to their directories on the machine.

What I am looking for is an FTP daemon with LDAP integration like so:

- Authentication (username/password) against LDAP.
- NO NEED FOR POSIX ACCOUNTS ON THE SERVER (NB NB NB).
- chroot jailed access to their directory.

Does anyone know of anything that fits the bill? The closest we have
found so far is Proftpd with LDAP extensions which will authenticate
users against LDAP, but still requires each user have a posix account on
the machine, which we don't want.

Help?

Regards,
Graham
