If any wants to hear me give my 2c, I can can talk about the state of
some game develpment toolkits like Simple Direct Media Layer. I'm on the
developer's list and I'm currently fiddling around with it to get a
linux demo done. It's the toolkit which Lokigames have used to port Myth
II and Civ II so it's pretty cool :)

I can also give a quick HOWTO on how to get the GLX modules working for
the Matrox G400 and the TNT since I have done it successfully for both
cards.
This is pretty much a requirement to get QIII working under Linux for
those cards :)
