I think you should get xcdroast ( from ftp.is.co.za for example)

However since you have an IDE -based cdburner AFAIK there is
no way around recompiling the kernel to *disable* ATAPI-CDROM and
to enable scsi-emulation  ( I haven't done that yet, since my
machine is compute-server that I don't want to reboot!)
then xcdroast should work!
