Hi Kobus. As most ftp servers ( including ftp.is.co.za ) supports resume you should be able to resume the download. Use a ftp client like IglooFTP or a download manager like Downloader for X. Both these are available from http://lia.linuxburg.com ( Local ) and both support file resume. Downloader for X even resumes http downloads ( http1.1 ) If you are using 'doze use wsFTP or Netvampire, Getright etc. all available from http://tucows.is.co.za ----- Original Message ----- From: Kobus Jooste <kobus.jooste@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: GLUG <glug@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, October 04, 1999 12:03 PM Subject: Re: GLUG: RH 6.1 (ftp-admins@xxxxxxxxxxxx) > To whom it may concern. > > Would it be possible for you guys to split that >600M RH6.1 iso-image > into more manageable chunks, say 50MB each. > > It seems that my bandwitdth is not a problem (~180KB/s after hours) but > our (my employee's) proxy servers won't allow me to stay connected long > enough (not on a single file anyway). > > (I got to about 500MB.
