| printing under WP8 |
hi all I've just installed WP8 for Linux - I'm very impressed with it I must say. The only thing that sux is that it didn't have my printer on it's list of printers (I've got an Epson Stylus colour 400) . Is there a way to tell it to use the printers I've defined in the printool? The print tool I set up in Gnome ,but it works under windowmaker (I'm a new convert to the joys of the fast and beautiful Xmanager!!) seems to find and work with things like gnote pad and netscape. I've set up WP8 to use the Epson EPS 4000(postscrip) and the Epson EPS 7000 which seem to work but it's just so slow and the quality just isn't that great (well I'm surprised it worked at all!) Are there drivers for the Epson stylus 400 (or any stylus) for Linux on the web? Or is it just a matter of fooling WP into thinking that it's something similar? Also is there a filemanager like the one in gnome/kde for wm I found xfm but it's really dodgy to say the least! At least I'm having a crash cource in linux shell useage -which really isnt a bad thing :-) Any way thanks for all the help both past, presant and future May the Force be with you all !
