| CRC errors on floppy |
Hi everyone,
I have been having a few problems with CRC error on Linux when I'm
using a floppy. The floppy is formatted as MSDOS (I use it to
transfer data from my OS/2 computer at home to work). At home, I
never get any CRC errors when I use the disk under Linux or OS/2.
When I get to work, both OS/2 and Linux give me CRC errors. I did
check the files at home just before I came to work today an they were
fine.
I can say that the only files that have given me problems to date
have been .tex files written in emacs. I have used different disks
from yesterday when the error first started, but I still get the CRC
errors. It doesn't have anything to do with file size because I have
just copied a whole GUI application writen in C and that worked fine.
Could it be that emacs is writing a wrong bit somewhere, or something
like that?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Ryan
