Re: GLUG: OT: Worst website. ABSA is winning.

Rob,

Your friend need to get his facts straight. I have not been inside a bank in more than a year. I have moved twice in that time and added both the new landlords by myself in front of my pc, no need to phone even. So yes I can do all that and more right on Standard Bank site, even get an overdraft. Boet if you want to stay with ABSA go for it. I am a Standard Bank man.

Regards,
Charl

I'm with ABSA internet Banking, and have had no problems at all. I'm on at least 3X/week, do what I have to do, and log out. Their main homepage has to much info and files to download, (+- 130 items), that takes a bit of time. At least with Internet Banking, I bypass that Page.
My understanding with Standard Bank is that you cannot create stop orders/ beneficiaries online (at least that's what I'm told by a collogue who uses Standard Bank), whereas with ABSA you can.
As for customer relationships, Ive had the best and worst from ABSA, depending on which branch you deal with.

Let me put it this way what you pay for is what you get. /me is with Standard Bank and I never have problems with my internet banking. The problem I have with ABSA is that the don't even begin to understand the concept of customer relations and service
