| OT : Windows-email question:please respond of list! |
hi My apologies to do this again. I am once again pulling my hair out with windows. Setup: 15 clients using Outlook. 2 servers : one handling internal mail ( Microlsoft Mail) one server is a LINUX box used as a gateway and E-mail server. On the Outlook client I have 2 services : one for internal mail and the other for E-mail. They point to their respective servers. I have 1 client that suddently started giving errors: When sending E-mail: No transport provider was available for delivering to this recipient What I have done / checks performed: pinging : client can see all servers / server can see client I can telnet from the client. The internal mail via the NT server functions. I removed TCP/IP stack and replaced it. i have removed the service within Outlook and replaced it. The logs on the LINUX mail server reflects a successfull login / logout by the user to send / receive E-mail I used a MS technet printout to check 9 possible causes for this. They all check out. HELP !! I AM DROWNING ! Sorry to post this on our LINUX list, but it seems LINUX people knows the most about Windows !! Tnx !!! John
