My 2 cents worth since I also discovered the mag and cd over the weekend
Definitely worth the R89.00 (specially if you're a SuSE fan) 'cause it's a
complete working version of the latest 7.0.
Had a perfect install and coming from 6.2 the new stuff is great!
As far as preference goes, I like RH, but every time I install it I  get
problems! Still, would'nt mind trying a few other distro's though.

Hi all,

With the October issue of Linux Format there was a free SuSE 7.0 copy too.
I got two copies from Linux Format but I have to admit I failed in
installing it, got some strange error messages, can't quite recall them
now. Anyhow I heard later on that it was an evaluation copy & will try to
install it again later, but meanwhile I have a spare copy so if anyone
wants to battle with it anyway, I can send it but it will take a couple of
weeks to get to you. Should reach you before Christmas if the postmen are
willing to cooperate ;-)) First reply gets the copy!

The difference between Professional & Personal I thinq is that you get a
longer support period & some more software which companies might use for
networking & such & which is not included in the personal version (though I
can't exactly recall which software now...excuse my tired brain).
