Hi Graham, On Mon, 2 Oct 2000, Graham Leggett wrote: > But then, I get this: > > [root@watchman images]# dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0 > dd: /dev/fd0: No space left on device > 1441+0 records in > 1440+0 records out I tried # dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k and it worked for me. So far I'm resonably happy with 7.0, although there are a few niggles, rp3 is not working properly and I'm having trouble with printtool. The C++ compiler is a lot more strict about standards adherence (read: I'm having to delve into source code to get things like lyx and lftp working) and I'm not going to get into the fight that's on lkml about that except to say that I agree with the RedHat folks about that. I will say that I'm not going to be putting 7.0 on to any of my production boxen any time soon. Although it's a pretty good release (about the best so far and I've been on RedHat since the first Rindepest), there has been a bunch of integration (kerberos, ssl, ssh, gpg, etc) into the base OS and I'm going to be hammering hard on it in the lab. Cheers! (Relax...have a homebrew) Neil
