message log entries

can anybody help :

1.	The entrie sin the .../log/messages file looks like this:

[date]	[time]	[server]	 PAM_pwdb[xxxxx]: (login) session opened for
user.......
.................................    sudo
...............................................

and in the 4th columb ( as above ) I found the entries :  PAM_pwdb and
sudo

What does one normally find in this 4th columb and this 'sudo' entry :
stands out like
a sore thumb : any comments on that ????
