Two scsi cards

Greetings

I build a CD server with 14 scsi CD-ROM's in it.
I am using samba so that the windows guy's can access it.
works like a charm....but I do have a problem that only 8 are working.
The problem is that there are only 8 devices available scd [0-7] 
These devices I have mounted.

Now the question is ....How do I if possible get other devices configured eg scd (8 - infinity) only joking
I have read up on MAKEDEV in the /dev dir ...but no luck ....
Any suggestion welcome.
