I seem to remember a quote by Alan Cox(?)... something along the
lines of:

"Instead of installing frontpage server extensions on your server,
just post your root password to usenet news. The results are the
same, and the latter is a lot easier."

That said, there are people that run it, and supposedly without
security problems.
