Farewell

Greetings humans (and any others that lurk among the gluggers),

This is just a short, offtopic (don't worry, it's my last) note to say
farewell to all of you. I'm unsubbing from the glug list today, and I
wanted everyone on the list to how much you've all meant to me over
the past 3 years. This list brought me from the stage where I couldn't
get a Linux box up and running to where I haven't used a windows box
in 3 months, and I'm a well paid sysadmin for a good company. It got
me a job at the best company I ever worked for (Datrix) and it made me
some friends I never would have met otherwise.

The people on this list were there for me always, no matter how
trivial the question, or how dumb the answer I gave to someone else's
question. Without this list, I'd probably be an MSCE by now :-) I'm a
happier hacker thanks to Linux!

I'm bailing out for a couple of reasons. 1 is time. I just don't have
enough of it to contribute any more. I haven't for some time, but I've
been selfishly hanging on and abusing you with questions. That's
hardly fair. Another is that I'm not putting much back in to the SA
Linux scene any more (being in London at the moment) and a lot of what
happens through the list (meets, installfests, compfaire) make me very
homesick.

So having blubbered my last, I wish the group, and each and every
member good luck, and happy hacking. Thanks for everything! More power
to you through the Penguin !
