morning all

just to follow up on the 386 thingy.

i got it up (linux, that is) with 2 megs of ram.

then some fancy footwork with a ramdisk, suspended to disk, and some more
fun stuff saw a basic kernel, doing io, and running a shell up with 1 meg.

looks like that is the limit as far as practicality goes.

i was booting from a stiffy.

now just need to boot from the flash drive !!!!!!!

or not.

anyway, just to let the naysayers know that we got halfway there
