Silly thought - did you perhaps change the 'bootable' flag from hda1 to
elsewhere.

A friend of mine is having some problems with redhat 6.newest. His got a
10-13 Gig drive and has got win98 instralled on teh first partition 8Gigs.
He then has a swap partition 256M, then linux native partition the rest
4Gig. Now we have installed the newest lilo. and we can boot linux. but as
soon as we try to boot windows, the machine dies. it's ded it is hanged. Why
could this happen.
