(I'm retro, I only use the character based emacs-x11 not the pretty icon type xemacs, but the choice is yours, both have gud) Just say Meta-x gdb Or I usually tie it to my F10 key with (global-set-key [f10] 'gdb) in my ~/.emacs file.
