| File system problem |
Hello, I am a new subscriber to the Glug list. I am a member of the Pretoria Linux Users Group. I need advice re the following: I left my box on with a login prompt. My careless MS loving flatmate switched it off to boot up win98 without shutting down properly. Now when I try to boot RH6.1 it indicates a file system problem (unattached inode...), says that I have been dropped into a shell, should run fsck manually and enter root pwd to do repairs. The prompt refuses to accept my root password. Running fsck also doesn't seem to help (not that I am claiming to be running it properly). Any advice much appreciated.
