KPPP

Q: Which is more frustrating: Win2k or RH6.2?
A: RH6.2 'cos you know it actually _does_ work!

I have just got hold of a RH6.2 CD and have decided
to try and load it onto my machine. All went well, except
that my kppp (which has worked for over a year under RH6.0)
fails. The script executes and I am logged in, but then I am
told pppd died unexpectedly and the line drops. /var/log/messages
gives:
May  3 17:55:01 visserver100 pppd[1259]: pppd 2.3.11 started by root, uid 0
May  3 17:55:01 visserver100 pppd[1259]: Using interface ppp0
May  3 17:55:01 visserver100 pppd[1259]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS1
May  3 17:55:05 visserver100 pppd[1259]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
May  3 17:55:05 visserver100 pppd[1259]: Modem hangup
May  3 17:55:05 visserver100 pppd[1259]: Connection terminated.
May  3 17:55:05 visserver100 pppd[1259]: Exit.
Both the RH control-panel ppp dialler and a manual connection
work!

Any clues?

Thanks
