Personal experience of Dells - work fine, everything is supported and
easy to install. I've heard Gateway machines (which are now locally
available for a very good price) are also a good bet.

Great stuff. Remind me not to ever buy Sony hardware in the future -
unless someone with more knowledge of
/usr/src/linux/drivers/char/keyboard.c can show exactly where the damage
could have been inflicted :)
