Notebooks

Hi all,

Does anyone have any advice on a good, internationally available laptop to
run Linux on? I've got the Sony vaio F403, and mostly it is fine. There are
only two problems...

1. The Yamaha sound card doesn't work under Linux, so no MP3's.
2. Sony won't honour hardware warranties with Linux on the machine. I was
told this weekend when the keyboard failed (keyboard on the 'book had keys
that didn't work, external keyboard worked fine - notebook 14 days old at
this time) that because I had loaded Linux on the machine, they could not
honour the warranty. 

So I'm in the market for a new notebook I guess. :-(
