Hiya all,

 

Ive got a problem trying to set up my ppp dailup.  Im not sure where

exactly my problem lies.  I am using Redhat 6.1 with 2.2.14.  Trying

to dial via kppp I get the following error message.

 

Apr  3 19:32:53 localhost pppd[697]: The remote system is required to authenticate itself but I
Apr  3 19:32:53 localhost pppd[697]: couldn't find any secret (password) which would let it use an IP address.

 

My computer is a stand alone with a network card on 192.168.0.1.

In the resolv.conf I have the ISP DNS settings next to nameserver.
