Project software...

Hi all,

We have a need to use some project tracking software (basically MS
Project would be great) to track dependancies and some other funky
stuff... but we have just learned that MS Project itself is really
expensive and approval will take days... (viva the bureaucracy).

So.

Can anyone suggest either a freeware or shareware equivalent for either
Windows or Linux that would do the job?

(No enormous client server SQL integrated complicated apps please, we
don't have the time...)
